The market continues decline while their worst single-day dropped in over five week. The rupee closed decline against dollars to 61.05, further dampening market sentiments, said market expert.

The 30-share Sensex index was closed red flag 244.48 points or 0.90% at 26816.56, it was touch a high of 26998.07 and touch a low of 26790.91.

The 50-share nifty index was ended down 63.50 points or 0.78% at 8042.00, it was touch a high of 8077.30 and touch a low of 8030.00.

The Bombay stock exchange shares by selling in metals, IT, Oil & gas, Capital goods, banking sectors, PSU and FMCG stocks, while buying in Healthcare stocks such as Dr. Reddy's and Cipla.

Nifty top gainers:- Lupin 4.34%, MCDOWELL-N 2.69%, Cipla 2.33%, PNB 1.31%, Hero motocrop 1.18%, Power Grid 1.15%, Tech Mahindra 0.90%, Dr. Reddy's 0.79%, Cairn 0.65%, Bank of baroda 0.48%.

Nifty top losers:- Jindal steel 4.98%, Hindalco 3.20%, Ambuja Cements 2.09%, Kotak Bank 2.08%, Ultra Cements 2.06%, ACC 1.99%, ONGC 1.88%, TCS 1.83%, Tata steel 1.80%, Asian paints 1.62%.
