The Indian stock market closed at 3-week high led by Reliance Industries. The BSE Sensex closed higher by 348.23 points to 32,182.22, while the Nifty50 nudged 111.60 points to close at 10,096.40.
All the sectoral indices were trading in positive terrain.
The BSE Metal Index and Energy surge more than 2%. FMCG, finance, healthcare and industrials jumped more than 1%.
Markets witness a robust rally with Nifty/Bank Nifty posted more than 1% of intraday gains.
Heavyweights such as Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank & Tata Consultancy Services were helping Nifty to close at 3-week closing highs. The other gainers include Aurobindo Pharma, Hindalco, Infratel, Sun Pharma whereas Infosys, Bharti Airtel, Ultra Cement, IOC and UPL are losing steam on NSE.
