RBI - "RBI kept the policy rates unchanged as per expectations as it could ill afford further closing of the interest rate arbitrage opportunities and its adverse consequence on capital flows. However, contrary to our expectations, RBI kept the CRR unchanged and also expressed some comfort in this regard. This may be based on the fact that the liquidity remained within its announced comfort zone despite seasonal advanced taxes outflows,"
Today Indian Stock Market-
The 50-share index ended at 5,850.05, up 41.65 points or 0.72 per cent. It touched a high of 5,854.90 and a low of 5,770.25 in trade today.
The Sensex closed at 19,325.87, up 147.94 points or 0.77 per cent. It touched a high of 19,344.28 and a low of 19,084.68 in trade today.
