Today Indian Nifty end above 6000.0 and Sensex near to 20000.0
The Nifty on Friday reclaimed the 6,000 level for the first time since June 3, 2013 and the
Sensex rallied over 300 points.
India's trade deficit in June narrowed to $12.24 billion from a 7-month high, helped by a slowdown in gold imports. This is likely to cushion the current account balance and the beleaguered rupee as well.
The 50-share Nifty index ended at 6,009.00, up 73.90 points or 1.25 per cent. It touched a high of 6,019 and a low of 5,951.15 in trade today.
The S&P BSE Sensex was at 19,958.47, up 282.41 points or 1.44 per cent. It touched a high of 19,983.60 and a low of 19,785.59 in trade today.
The S&P BSE Midcap Index finished without any changes and BSE S&P Smallcap Index down 0.19 per cent.
The CNX NSE Midcap Index finished was up 0.29 per cent and BSE S&P Smallcap Index down 0.13 per cent.
