Sensex ends in the Red, Nifty below 8,150, Metals and Gas under pressure

The Equity market on Tuesday two month high to end flat. The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty ended lower on today amid weak global markets, tracking weak trends in Asian and European markets. 

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended lower 57.58 points or 0.21% at 26846.53, it was touched a high of 26918.52 and touch a low of 26719.10. 

The 50-share NSE Nifty index closed down 11.90 points or 0.15% at 8131.70, it was touched a high of 8150.25 and touch a low of 8088.60. 

The S&P BSE Metals and Gas stocks today under pressure after the overnight decline in global oil prices. ONGC, Hindalco, Tata Steel falls 2%-3.5%. Infosys which down 4 per cent on Monday, but it fell 2 per cent. 

Among Ultra Cements 1.94%, Bajaj-Auto 1.75%, Coal India 1.75%, BPCL 1.59%, Yes Bank 1.39%, Lupin 1.30%, BHEL 1.29%, Dr. Reddy’s 1.02% were top gainers today. 

IDEA 3.80%, ONGC 3.55%, Hindalco 2.99%, VEDL 2.98%, HCL Tech 2.82%, Tata Steel 2.39%, Infosys 2.21%, Bharti Airtel 1.29% were top losers today.
