The Indian stock market today consolidation on Dalal Street with the Equity benchmark ending red signal on Tuesday. Banking & Financial, Metals, and Oil & Gas stocks pulled the market down while only Healthcare stocks supported.
The 30-share Sensex closed 28.29 points at 27932.90 and the 50-share nifty index declined 5.55 points at 8454.10. However, the BSE Midcap and Smallcap Indices growing marginally.
About 1560 shares advanced, 1281 shares declined.
Nifty gainers:- Coal India 3.14%, Infosys 2.09%, BPCL 1.92%, Hindustan Unilver 1.76%, Lupin 1.72%, Ambuja Cements 1.57%, Hero motocrop 1.49%, BHEL 1.43%,Wipro 0.96%, Asian paints 0.65%.
Nifty Losers:- Tata motors 4.24%, SBIN 2.06%, Hindalco 2.02%, VEDL 1.73%, Cairn 1.31%, Tata steel 1.21%, ICICI bank 1.17%, Reliance 1.06%, HCL Tech 0.95%.
