The 30-share BSE Sensex closed gain 438.12 points or 1.76% at 25338.58, it was touched a high of 25358.84 and touch a low of 25055.42.
The 50-share NSE Nifty index climbed 138.20 points or 1.82% at 7735.20.
The BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices rising over 1.8 per cent each as about 1873 shares advanced against 750 declining shares on Bombay Stock Exchange.
Among ICICI bank 6.49%, Tata Steel 6.47%, Lupin 5.88%, Tata motors 5.01%, Adani ports 4.37%, PNB 4.15%, VEDL 4.10%, Bank of baroda 4.03%, SBIN 3.98% were top Gainers in the Sensex.
ZEEL 1.34%, M&M 1.16%, HDFC 0.65%, Bharti Airtel 0.45%, Maruti 0.13%, Hindustan Unilever 0.10% were top Losers today.
