Market update:- The nifty closed above 8260 and the BSE Sensex index ended high 117.94 points at 27324, while the NSE nifty gained 38.15 points at 8262.35.

On Friday, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) said in a statement that the new prices of petrol and diesel are applied by 12 am Friday. The petrol price by 3.13 per liter and diesel prices by Rs 2.71 per liter increase is announced.
