The Indian market started off the year 2016 on a positive note. The Sensex closed up 43.36 points or 0.17% at 26160.90, it was touched a high of 26197.27 and touched a low of 26008.20. The Nifty was gain 16.85 points or 0.21% at 7963.20, it was touched a high of 7972.55 and touch a low of 7909.80.
