Closing update-
The equity benchmarks rebounds some of previous session lower to close and marginally higher on Friday while the broader markets outperformed and ends flat for the week with the Nifty midcap index climbed over 1 percent despite weakness in Asia market.
The 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 92.72 points or 0.33% at 27803.24, it was touched a high of 27832.45 and touch a low of 27646.21.
The 50-share NSE Nifty index ended gain 31.10 points or 0.37% at 8541.20, it was touched a high of 8548.95 and touch a low of 8489.80.
The BSE Midcap index rising 119.45 points or 0.98 percent at 12277.25 and The BSE Smallcap index up 96.95 points or 0.81 percent at 12107.31.
The BSE sectoral Auto index up 0.87%, Bankex index up 0.10%, Metals index up 1.34%, Oil & Gas gain 0.62%, Power index 1.41%, and FMCG index up 0.13%, while only one IT index down 0.26%.
Nifty Top Gainers- Tata Mtrdvr 3.67%, Tata Motors 3.18%, Power Grid 3.11%, ZEEL 2.54%, Infratel 2.35%, HDFC 2.12%, Tata power 1.98%, Hindalco 1.83%, Cipla 1.26%.
Nifty Top Losers- ACC 1.93%, Bajaj Auto 1.83%, SBIN 0.97%, Boschltd 0.93%, Wipro 0.90%, Bank of baroda 0.89%, Dr.Reddy’s 0.80%, Sun pharma 0.78%, Infosys 0.50%.
