Nifty ends below 10,500; Sensex closes 561 pts lower amid global rout in equities

Closing Update- BSE Sensex closed lower by 561.22 points to 34,195.94, while the NSE Nifty fell 168.30 points to close at 10,498.25. All the sectoral indices closed lower with IT sector losing the most at 2.80 percent. 

Nifty pulls out losses to fourth straight trading session on Tuesday as the global sell-off runs over to the Indian markets, however, Nifty and Bank Nifty improved towards the end erasing partial losses led by gains in the PSU Banks and Nifty private Banks. 

Among BSE IT stocks, HCL Technologies (down 3.87%), Tech Mahindra (down 3.66%), TCS (down 3.58%), Infosys (down 2.62%), Oracle Financial Services Software (down 1.64%) and Wipro (down 1.31%) edged lower.
Lupin, Tata Motors, HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra and TCS were biggest losers among Nifty 50 stocks, falling 6 to 3% while Bajaj Finance, ICICI Bank, Tata Steel, Eicher Motors and Bharti Airtel were tog gainers.

Market falls as RBI keeps policy rates unchanged, Tomorrow stock tips- 07 Dec

Sensex, Nifty tumbled after the Reserve Bank of India kept key policy rates unchanged after monetary policy review today, 6 Dec 2017. The BSE Sensex fell 205.26 points to 32,597.18. The NSE Nifty 50 index fell 74.15 points to 10,040.10. Negative cues from global stocks also spoiled investor’s sentiment. 

Banks stocks declined after the RBI kept policy rates steady after monetary policy review today. The falling banks stocks includes ICICI Bank (-2.31%), HDFC Bank (-1.18%), Yes Bank (-0.71%), Axis Bank (-0.63%), IndusInd Bank (-0.62%), City Union Bank (-0.61%), Federal Bank (-0.46%), RBL Bank (-0.13%) and Kotak Mahindra Bank (-0.11%). 

Metal & mining sector stocks edged lower as commodities prices fell in the international market since investors raised convert over China demand for metals. The declined metal stocks include Hindustan Copper (-4.71%), Jindal Steel & Power (-4.03%), Hindalco Industries (-3.15%), Hindustan Zinc (-3.18%), Steel Authority of India (-2.68%), NMDC Limited (-2.88%), JSW Steel (-2.24%), Vedanta (-2.39%), National Aluminium Company (-2.18%) and Tata Steel (-1.10%). 

RBI left the repo rate unchanged at 6 percent but increased the CPI inflation target. The RBI, at its 5th Bi-Monthly Monetary Policy meet, increased the CPI inflation target for October - March to 4.3% to 4.7% from 4.2% to 4.6% earlier.

Sensex down 190 Pts, Bank Nifty gains, Stock Tips Tomorrow

The market closed lower side for first time in last seven trading session due to today profit booking in private banks. FMCG, Oil and select pharma stocks. 

Closing update:- The 30-share Sensex index closed down 190.04 points or 0.70% at 26845.81, it was touched a high of 27120.11 and touch a low of 26762.36. 

The 50-share Nifty index ended falls 48.05 points or 0.59% at 8129.35, it was touched a high of 8196.75 and touch a low of 8105.85. 

Among Ultra Cements 2.27%, Adaniports 2.15%, VEDL 2.09%, Tata steel 1.65%, Asian paints 1.14%, HCL Tech 1.08%, Dr. Reddy’s 0.73%, Tata Motors 0.69%, Cairn 0.63%, BHEL 0.32% were top gainers today. 

Gail 2.83%, Reliance 2.34%, ITC 2.13%, Kotak Bank 1.59%, ICICI Bank 1.59%, Yes Bank 1.41%, Sun Pharma 1.31%, NTPC 1.17%, M&M 1.15%, BPCL 1.08% were top losers today.
