The Equity benchmark closed green sound on Thursday with both the Sensex and Nifty closing above 28,000 levels and 8,400 levels. In the beaning of day, Midcap shares edged lower, but Oil & gas and banks stocks a recovery to closed in the green while Capital goods and Metals closed 0.8 per cent lower.

The 30-share Sensex closed up 34.71 points or 0.12% at 28067.56, it touched a high of 28118.53 and touch a low of 27915.23 in trade today.

The 50-share nifty ended rose 19.60 points or 0.23% at 8401.90, it touched a high of 8410.85 and touch a low of 8353.15 in trade today.

Kotak bank 6.82%, Cipla 3.89%, Tech-mahindra 3.43%, SBIN 2.08%, Cairn 1.90%, Wipro 1.61%, Lupin 1.45%, TCS 1.35%, Tata power 1.19%, HCL Tech 1.16% were top nifty gainers today.

Jindal steel 3.91%, ZEEL 3.49%, NMDC 3.01%, SSLT 2.37%, DLF 1.91%, NTPC 1.87%, LT 1.47%, Ultra cements 1.47%, Bank of baroda 1.42%, Indusidbk 1.31% were top nifty losers today.
