Closing Bell: Sensex Nifty Ended High, Oil & Gas Stocks Lead the Losses

Closing Update- BSE Sensex closed higher by 32.67 points to 31,846.89, whereas the NSE Nifty rose 9.05 points, or 0.09%, to 9,988.75. 

Stocks markets continued trade slightly higher in the afternoon session as corporate results kick off later this week. Turning to the closing bell, BSE Sensex closed higher by 32.67 points to 31,846.89, whereas the NSE Nifty rose 9.05 points, or 0.09%, to 9,988.75. 

Kotak Mahindra Bank, Yes Bank, Eicher Motors, Tech Mahindra, Dr Reddy's and Coal India gained more than 1% while RIL, Vedanta, ONGC, Aurobindo Pharma, HPCL and GAIL India fell to some extent. 

The BSE Mid Cap finished down by 0.1 percent while Small Cap finished up by 0.6 percent. Gains were largely registered in realty stocks and FMCG stocks while energy and power stocks witnessed majority of the selling movement. 

Rupee was trading at Rs 65.31 against the US dollar in the afternoon session while Oil prices were trading at USD 49.31.

Weekly Market Snapshots- 25 Sept Monday Tomorrow Stock Nifty Future Recommendation

Weekly Reports- The Stock market corrected last week due to negative global cues triggered profit booking. The BSE Sensex ended at 31922.44, down 447.6 points, or 1.4%. The NSE Nifty lost 157.5 points, or 1.6% to 9964.4. Both indices posted their most awful single day fall since the last ten months. 

The key benchmark indices fell in 4 out of 5 trading sessions. The stock markets endured their most horrible setback on concern that the govt’s stimulus plan for the economy could disturb the fiscal sums, and hurt the rupee and interest rates. 

On the week ended Friday, there were four falling stocks for each one advancing. The BSE Midcap index declined close to 3%. Real estate, Metals and realty were the worst performing sectors.

Stock Market range-bound today, ahead of the F&O expiry

Stocks edged lower on Thursday’s trade as caution set in ahead of the Future & Option (F&O) expiry contracts later in the day. Domestic traders are waiting for cues from the roll-over of monthly derivatives contracts, markets much range-bound. 

The NSE index was on track to post a 2.1 percent drop this month, while the BSE index was set for a 2.9 percent monthly decline. Almost all sectors were in the red, barring energy stocks. Infosys Ltd and TCS were among the top losers, falling 1 and 0.6%, respectively. NTPC shares dropped near 2.5%.Wipro, Reliance, Bajaj Auto, Asian Paint and Maruti were top gainers. 

Markets closed with the benchmarks Sensex ending at 31,730, up 84 points, while Nifty50 settled at 9,917, up 33 points. Both the indices lost over 2% for the month.

Stock Update: Shares Infosys fall for two consecutive sessions,Tomorrow stock tips

Infosys sharesx closed at Rs 873.5 down by 5.37% on Exchange in today’s trade. Infosys has posted biggest 2-day plunge from April 2013. Its dropped 14.46 percent in last two sessions. The shares have been traded on new 52-week low value at Rs. 870, registering a spurt in volume by more than 4.21 times. India's second number Information technology services exporter has corrected about 15%, wiping out nearly Rs. 34,000 crore of investor's wealth. 

However, today's fall in Infosys shares came even though the company announcing a Rs. 13,000 crore shares buyback on Saturday, at a price which is 25% higher than Friday's closing price. The IT sector was followed by Teck, realty and healthcare segments, which also witnessed decline. However, buying in metal, bank and financial stocks reduced the sentiment. 

On Closing, BSE Sensex ended lower by 266 points, to 31,259, while the NSE Nifty fell 83 points to 9,754. Apart from Infosys, Adani Ports and Dr. Reddy’s were ended in losss at a tune of 3.09%, and 2.42%, respectively.

Live Update- Sensex ends 25 Pts, Nifty above 9,900, Infosys higher 5 percent

Closing update- The equity benchamark closed higher for the third trading session, straight as Infosys, the second biggest IT company in India, closed by nearly 5 percent. 

The 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 24.57 points or 0.08 percent at 31795.46, it was touched a high of 32,502.55 and touch a low of 32,194.58. The 50-share NSE Nifty index gain 6.85 points or 0.07 percent at 9904.15, it was touched a high of 9.947.80 and touch a low of 9,883.75. 

Infosys buyback also strong sentiment for other IT stocks like Tech-mahindra up 1.06 percent, HCL Tech rose 0.79 percent.

Sensex, Bank Nifty closed all time high, RBI's bi-monthly policy tomorrow

The India market closed higher on Monday ahead of the RBI's 3rd bi-monthly metting policy on 2 Aug where the RbI expected to cut interest rates and the up SBI shares further stopped the index higher. 

Closing update- The 30-share BSE Sensex closed at record high 205.06 points or 0.63 percent at 32514.94, it was touched a high of 32,546.50 and touch a low of 32,324.45. 

The 50-share NSE Nifty index ends up 62.60 points or 0.63 percent at 10077.10, it was touched a high of 10,085.90 and touch a low of 10,016.05. 

Nifty bank index closing up 292.40 points or 1.18 percent at 25103.70.

Nifty close above 9900 for 1st time, Stocks For Tomorrow- 18 July

Nifty hits one-month low, 28 June Stock Trading Calls Tomorrow

After Three day market consolidation, while today equity benchmarks hits one month closing low Tuesday. Sensex down over 100 points. The BSE Sensex closed 179.96 points or 0.58% at 30958.25, it was touched a high of 31294.96 and touch a low of 30847.08 and The 50-share Nifty index ended decline 63.55 points or 0.66% at 9511.40, it was touched a high of 9,615.40 and touch a low of 9473.45. 

Bank Index India's biggest lender State Bank Of India falls 3.3 percent while Bank Of Baroda decline as much as 4.8 percent to it's lowest price since Jan 23. PNB, Canara bank, Allahabad bank, Andhra bank and Union bank were down 2-5 percent while private bank like M&M, Axis bank, HDFC bank and ICICI bank slipped 0.6-2 percent.

Nifty near 9600 at Close, FED meet eyed, 14 June Stock Future Trading Calls

Indian Stock market closed flat note on Tuesday after erasing the morning gains with the BSE Sensex ended up 0.03% at 31,103.49 while the Nifty index closed in Red,down 0.1% at 9,606.9 points. The caution prevails over the market as the upcoming data of the current account are due to later today evening and the US Federal Reserve meeting starting form today.

About 1342 shares declined against 1,325 shares advancing on the BSE.

Sensex up 31,000 for first time ever, Nifty closes just below 9,600

The benchmark, BSE Sensex zooms 278.18 points or 0.90% to close at new peak of 31,028.21, while the Nifty ends at record 9,585.45, up 75.70 points or 0.80%. The Sensex soared the past 31000-mark for the first time on sustained inflow of funds along with robust corporate earnings of companies. The broader NSE Nifty crossed the 9,600- mark for the first time today. 

The market marked a historic day as the indices registered fresh record highs, with the Sensex rising 31,000 for the first time ever, together with the Nifty at 9,600. The market breadth was healthy with 1,810 advances against 854 declines, and 182 shares were unchanged. 

Index heavyweights lifted the rally with RIL gaining 2.7%. Tata Steel rose 5.9% to Rs 514, its highest since September 2014. Maruti Suzuki went up 1.3%. The stock has rallied over 30 % so far in the year 2017.
Among losers, Videocon Industries shed 10% for the third consecutive session since investors continued to dump the stock. Central Bank of India and Dena Bank declared the company as an NPA on their books. Cipla Ltd fell 3%, to its 11-month low after posting a quarterly loss against analysts' expectations. Stability in the rupee against the US dollar and fall in global crude oil prices further influenced trading sentiment to a great extent.

Four Stocks rising today’s mid-noon hours- 11 May Thursday

Stocks of United Spirits advanced 5.98% at Rs 2,082 in the mid-noon hours on BSE, turning itself the topper in 'A' group. There were 93,000 shares traded on the counter so far as against the ADV (average daily volumes) of 1.15 lakh shares in the past two weeks. 

Adani Transmission rose 5.52% at Rs 80.25. It was the second biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 2.74 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the ADV of 2.12 lakh shares in the past two weeks. 

Sun TV Network rose 5.51% at Rs 909.75, turning itself the third biggest gainer in BSE 'A' group. On the Exchange, 2.25 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the ADV of 71,000 shares in the past two weeks. 

Zee Entertainment Enterprises advanced 4.77% at Rs 540.65. The stock was the 4th biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 2.68 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against ADV of 84,000 shares in the past two weeks.

Markets end at all time highs; Nifty hits 9,400 for the first time ever

Investors rejoiced as benchmark indices settled the day at their respective closing highs with Nifty rising above 9,400 for the first time ever as IMD’s new prediction on monsoon  raised prospects of higher agricultural and economic growth. 

The BSE Sensex closed up 314.92 pts at 30,248.17, the NSE Nifty ended higher by 90.45 pts at 9, 407.30. There were 1,619 shares advancing, against a decline of 1,226 shares, and a total of 180 shares were unchanged. 

Telecom major Bharti Airtel gained 10%, was followed by Hindustan Unilever, which made a stellar move, while the FMCG touched its all-time high mark. 

Pharma, FMCG and auto indices gained over 1% on the Nifty, while the IT index was down by half a percent. HDFC, Bharti Airtel, Hindustan Unilever and Mahindra and Mahindra were the top gainers, while TCS, Wipro, ICICI Bank and Asian Paints lost the most.

Stock Closing Update- Sensex Nifty Gain Today, Metal Stock Gains

The benchmark indices settled with tiny gains after floating around the flat line in a range bound session of trade. The BSE Sensex rose 7.10 points or 0.02% at 29,933.25, while the NSE Nifty-50 index gained 2.80 points or 0.03% at 9,316.85, on closing. Positive global cues mainly aided gains on the Exchanges. 

The BSE Mid-Cap index rose 0.19 percent while the Small-Cap index gained 0.53 percent, outperforming the Sensex. The breadth, indicating the overall health of the market, was positive with 1,481 shares advanced and 1,356 shares declined on BSE. A total of 166 shares were unchanged. 

Capital goods stocks surged, Bharti Infratel edged higher after the company’s announcement of Q4 results. Metals stocks carried on its gain 0.77% together with IT stocks by 0.69%, and midcaps stocks gaining 0.51%. 

Adani Ports, Indian Oil Corporation and Larsen & Toubro, were top gainers on both Sensex and Nifity, while Indiabulls Housing Finance, Hero MotoCorp and Lupin were losing splendor.
