Closing Bell: Nifty Toppers of the Day, Stock Prediction for Tomorrow- 12 March

Benchmark closed mildly lower on Friday, with the Sensex ended lower by 44.43 points at 33,307.14 and the Nifty down by 15.8 points at 10,226.85. Investors kept on the sidelines due to want of clarity on the US tariff on steel & aluminium imports. Both indices shed 2.2% this week, in their second consecutive weekly fall. 

The stock of Reliance Communications shed 13.75 percent to a day’s bottom level of Rs 21.65 before settling down 9.76 percent at Rs 22.7 on NSE. 

Bank Nifty underperformed ending the session 0.74% lower. The Nifty PSU Bank stocks continued to register selling pressure plunging 1.81 percent Shares of Canara Bank and IDBI Bank seeing steep cuts of 6.25 percent and 5.48 percent respectively. 

More than 116 stocks which include Allahabad Bank, BEML Limited and United Bank of India hit fresh 52-week lows on NSE on Friday.  

Top Gainers and Losers on NSE: Tech Mahindra (up 2.30%), Bajaj Finance (up 1.83%), TCS (up 1.03%), Eicher Motors and Zee Entertainment up 1% each, as top gainers. On the other hand, top laggards include Tata Steel (-3.65%), Axis Bank (-2.60%), Adani Ports (-2.08%), YES Bank (-1.85%) Sun Pharma (-1.59%).

Sensex Nifty closed lower on weak global cues, Market prediction tomorrow

Key benchmark indices clocked losses for third successive day dragged by bank and Pharma stocks. The BSE Sensex lost 216.35 points or 0.68% at 31,797.84. The Nifty50 index lost 70.50 points or 0.71% at 9,908.05. Weakness in global stocks is seen, despite rising geopolitical worries between US and North Korea weighed on sentiment on the exchanges. 

The BSE MidCap fell 1.66% while the Small-Cap fell 1.88%. The fall in these indices was greater than the Sensex's falls in percentage terms. 

Pharma stocks down with Cadila Healthcare (-9.54%), Cipla (-3.5%), Dr Reddy's (-2.84%), Glenmark Pharma (-4.2%), Lupin (-2.38%), Aurobindo Pharma (-5.86%) among others. Shares of GSK Pharmaceuticals rose up 0.36%. All the sectoral stocks settled in red mark, where Nifty Pharma shed 4%, the most.

Sensex, Nifty settle with modest losses after RBI move to reduce repo rate

The key benchmark indices settled with modest losses since profit booking materialize after the RBI cut policy rate by 25 bps after a monetary policy meet today, in line with market expectations. The BSE Sensex, declined 98.43 pts or 0.3% at 32,476.74, while the Nifty50 index lost 33.15 pts or 0.33% at 10,081.50. Weakness in European stocks also increased on sentiment. 

Adani Ports, NTPC and Ambuja Cements gained the most on Sensex and Nifty, while Dr Reddy’s, BHEL and Indiabulls Housing were the top laggards. Bank stocks were declined after the RBI cut policy rate by 25 bps.  

The monetary policy committee (MPC), headed by new RBI governor Urjit Patel, was of focus today. The govt and RBI have set a retail inflation target of 4 percent for the coming 5 years with an upper tolerance level of 6 percent and lower limit of 2 percent. Consumer price index moderated sharply to 1.54 percent in June. It is expected that the RBI will cut interest rates to push spending and investment.

PSU banks helps Sensex closed higher, 15 June Nifty Trading Prediction Tomorrow

Closing update- The Domestic market closed marginally high on Wednesday, helped by gain in PSU bank and realty stocks. The Sensex closed up 52.42 points at 31,155.91, while The Nifty ended gain 11.25 points at 9618.15.

The market 1249 shares advanced against a 1419 shares declined, while 169 shares were unchanged. Reliance Industries top gainers for the day, followed by Dr.Reddy's and Bank of baroda.

Sensex,Nifty close at all time highs for 3rd straight session

The benchmark indices edged higher for third successive session, crossing the previous milestone it hit in March 2015,  amid positive cues from Asian market. The BSE Sensex, rose up 190.11 points or 0.63% to 30,133.35, while the NSE Nifty index up 45.25 points or 0.49% to 9,351.85. The market rally comes after a series of robust domestic quarterly results, while expectations for additional foreign inflows to India have improved on renewed optimism about the US economy. 

In the broader markets, the BSE Mid-Cap index declined 0.12%. The BSE Small-Cap index declined 0.63%, underperforming the Sensex. There were about 1,956 shares falling and 948 shares rising, and a total of 141 shares were unchanged. 

Mahindra & Mahindra rose 3.72% to Rs 1,356.20, surpassing gains triggered by the news that a foreign brokerage has upgraded the stock to outperform from neutral with bigger target price. M&M stock had advanced 3.4% to settle at Rs 1,307.50 last day. 

Other major gainers that aided the key indices were Axis Bank rise 0.44%, HDFC Ltd rose 0.62%, Tata Steel Ltd advanced 0.99% and ITC gained 2.04%

Nifty ends at 8725; Sensex dips 184 points, Nifty calls Tomorrow

Benchmark indices on Wednesday extended losses in spite of positive global cues, weighed by auto, pharma, infra and metals stocks. The BSE Sensex ended at 28,155, down 184 points, while the broader Nifty50 quoted 8,724, down 68 points at close.  Broader markets underperformed the headline indices with BSE Midcap losing 1.2% and BSE Smallcap losing and 1.5%. About 3 shares declined for every share rising on the BSE. 

Tata Motors fell 10% to Rs 436 after the automaker on Tuesday announced a 96% fall in December-quarter profit, citing sharply lower earnings at Jaguar Land Rover and losses in its domestic business. ICICI Bank, L&T, Adani Ports and Maruti Suzuki fell 1-2 percent while ITC, HDFC Bank, TCS, Reliance Industries and HDFC gained.

Nifty ends July 52-week closing high, Sensex up 184 Pts, Tomorrow tips

The Equity benchmarks extended rally in late trade before closing with the Nifty ending at fresh 52 week closing high on Thursday ahead F&O series last day of July series. 

The BSE Sensex closed up 184.29 points or 0.66 percent at 28208.62, it was touched a high of 28240.20 and touch a low of 28064.90. 

The NSE Nifty index ended gain 50.50 points or 0.59 percent at 8666.30, it was touched a high of 8674.70 and touch a low of 8625.25. 

The BSE Midcap index closed up 0.62 percent at 12573.28 and The BSE Smallcap index rose 0.60 percent at 12281.68.
