The Equity benchmarks continued three day lower on short covering but ends off day’s high on Wednesday as investors maintained a cautious approach ahead of Thursday’s expiry of September future & option contract.
The BSE Sensex closed up 69.11 points or 0.24% at 28292.81, it Intraday touch a high of 28,378.56 and touch a low of 28,198.30.
The NSE Nifty ended gain 38.75 points or 0.45% at 8745.15, it was Intraday touch a high of 8,767.05 and touch a low of 8,703.15.
The BSE Midcap and BSE Smallcap Indices climbed around 1 percent each on positive note, about 1632 shares advanced against 1020 shares declining shares on the exchange.
Nifty Top Gainers- Eichermot, Hindalco, IDEA, Tata Steel, ZEEL, Bank of baroda, Bharti Airtel, Adani ports, Bosch Ltd, SBIN.
Nifty Top Losers- Reliance, Tech-mahindra, Coal India, Hindustan Unilever, Sun pharma, TCS, Wipro, Kotak bank, Infosys, HDFC bank.
