Nifty ends at 10,877-mark led by stocks in IT, Pharma

The market extended gains for fifth consecutive session, driven by recent weakness in crude oil prices and strength in rupee, amid buying in pharma, IT and auto Socks. However, the benchmark indices pared their gains to some extent in today's trade as selling momentum emerged at higher levels. 

The BSE Sensex, rose 23.89 points to 36,194.30, The Nifty50 index rose 18.05 points to 10,876.75, Among the sectors, pharma and IT stocks outperformed the other indices with upto 2 percent gain, while metal, energy, bank, infra stocks have under performed. 

Stocks in Reliance Communications rose 12.94% to Rs 14.40 on the NSE on Friday after the Supreme Court asked RCom to furnish a corporate guarantee of Rs 14 billion, which will be issued by Reliance Realty Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of RCom. HPCL (down 4,41%), Bharti Infratel Bank (down 3.58%), Tata Motors (down 2.88%), UPL (down 2.55%) and NTPC (down 2.50%), were the major Nifty losers. 

Yes Bank (up 6.26%), Wipro (up 3.14%), Cipla (up 3.03%), Dr.Reddy and Tech Mahindra (up 1.58%), each were the major Nifty gainers.

Closing Update: Top traded stocks on the NSE Today

Key benchmark indices moved positive territory in afternoon trade on Tuesday with Nifty ending well above 10680-mark. 

At the close of market hours, the Sensex gained 159 points to 35,513-level and the Nifty ended 57 points up at 10,685.60 A rally among PSU banks, energy spaces as well as IT stocks lifted the market up. 

In the broader market, the Nifty Midcap-100 index ended 0.51 percent higher.  Sectoral indices on the NSE were trading mixed with Nifty IT, PSU Bank indices ended higher 1%, while Nifty Pharma slipped 1.33%, as the top sectoral loses on the index. 

Among stocks, Infosys, Bajaj Finserv, GAIL, TCS, and BPCL were the biggest gainers. On the other hand, Hero MotorCorp, Sun Pharma, Yes Bank, Bharti Aritel and Wipro lost the most. Out of 50 stocks in the Nifty pack 24 stocks ended in the red while 26 stocks gained.

Closing Update: Sensex, Nifty advance 1 percent, Stock tips tomorrow- 27 Nov

Markets witnessed a volatile trading trend, with the Nifty posting a smart managing to close at 10,628 levels up by 102 points, while the Sensex closed at 35,354 levels up by 373 points, on Monday. The rise in the Nifty was led by sustained buying, particularly in FMCG space which was the best performing sectoral index ending the day 2.36 percent higher. 

All Nifty sectoral indices gained excluding the Metal and Pharma indices which are down by over 1.32 percent each Hero MotoCorp, Wipro, Hindustan Unilever, Axis Bank and Asian Paints were among the top gainers on the Nifty, whereas ONGC, Sun Pharma, Yes Bank, Vedanta and Coal India among major losers. 

Shares in Godrej Properties ended 4.16 percent higher after reports that Godrej Fund Management and Godrej Properties entered into a JV agreement with Hero Cycles to develop a prime office development on Gurugram.

Short-Week end stocks, Market close on Friday for Guru Nanak Jayanti

Sensex, Nifty erased early gains to end lower on Thursday, due to mixed losses across the sectors, with automaker Mahindra & Mahindra being top loser ending about 3 percent lower, on both the benchmarks. 

The NSE Nifty closed 73.30 points lower at 10,526.75, while the benchmark BSE Sensex was down 0218.78 at 34,981.02. 

NSE and BSE posted their first weekly loss in the shortened week, with the NSE index finishing about 1.5% lower, while the BSE index closing down 1.3%. 

All the Nifty sectoral spaces closed in red except Nifty media which was the single gainer with 1.4 percent gain, while Metal index ended lower by 1.8% and Nifty PSU down by 1.5% each.  

M&M, Grasim Hindalco, Bajaj Fin emerged as top losers while Zee, Adani Ports and L&T were top gainers today.

Sensex, Nifty fall; Tomorrow Trading tips- 21 Nov

Key benchmarks snapped three sessions of gains to end lower on Tuesday, amid weakness in global equity markets and after the outcome of the RBI meet failed to impress investors.  

The NSE Nifty50 ended 1 percent lower at 10,656.20, while the BSE Sensex closed down 0.84 percent at 35,474.51. Yes Bank and Hindalco Industries were the biggest losers on the NSE index, with shares falling 6.1 percent and 5.91 percent lower, respectively. 

Gail India, Adani Ports and IndusInd bank were among major gainers in trade. 

IT stocks Wipro and Tech Mahindra closed 3.29 and 2.86 percent lower respectively, hurt by strengthening of the rupee against the dollar. Share prices of HEG Ltd rose 2.22% to Rs 4,345 per share after the company said that it will consider a proposal of share buyback on 26 November.

Sensex, Nifty end flat, Best Stock Recommendation Tomorrow- 15 Nov

The market ended the volatile session on flat note, with the Sensex falling 2.50 points at 35141.99, while Nifty down 6.20 points at 10576.30. Market witnessed sharp volatility as both the indices shifted between negative and positive movements in the intraday. A fall in crude oil prices boosted investor sentiment while weak global cues capped gains. 

Hindustan Petrolium (up 4.04%), Bharat Petroleum (up 3.60%), UPL (up 3.05%), Maruti (up 2.79%) and Indian oil (up 2.69%), were the major Nifty gainers. 

Sun Pharma (down 7.29%), TechMahindra (down 3.58%), GAIL, Kotak Bank and HCL Tech (down 3.51%), were the major Nifty loser. Sun Pharma shares fell 7.29% after the drug major reported consolidated net loss of Rs 108.84 crore in Q2 Sept 2018. 

Bank Nifty outshined 0.63% at 25,930 led by strong gains in Bank of Baroda, SBI, IndusInd Bank and HDFC Bank.

Oil marketing companies (OMC) shined as crude oil prices continue to fall with Brent crude hitting one-year lows. Mahindra & Mahindra fell 2.27% after the auto major announced Q2 results during the day.

Sensex ends 331 pts up, Nifty above 10,550, Tomorrow Best Stock Tips

Benchmark indices ended higher on Tuesday, with the Nifty50 index trading above 10,580 mark. The Sensex closed up 331.50 points at 35,144.49, and the Nifty ended 100.30 points at 10582.50. 

Eicher Motors, Indian Oil Corpn, Bharat Petroleum, Hindustan Petroleum and NTPC were among the top Nifty gainers, which ended upto 6%. 

Watching sectorally, Nifty Pharma index ended 1% lower, led by Sun Pharma and Aurobindo Pharma. Realty stocks also ended lower in the trade with the Nifty Realty index ending at 221.40, down 0.61%. 

Nifty Energy index ended up 1.75 percent at 14091.05 today with Indian Oil Corp jumped 4.70%, Bharat Petroleum added 4.10 percent and HPCL gained 3.44%. 

Nifty Commodities index increased 1.50% while Nifty Pharma index has dropped 1.41% on the day.

Stock Market Closing update, Tomorrow Stock Tips- 31 Oct

Key benchmark indices ended lower with the BSE Sensex falling 176 points at 33,891-mark, while the NSE Nifty50 slipped at 10,198-level in trade on Tuesday. 

Tech Mahindra, Zee Entertainment, Grasim, Dr Reddy’s and GAIL Iindia were the top gainers, while HPCL, IndusInd Bank, BCPL, Cipla and IOC and have lost the most on the NSE.  

Out of 11 sectoral indices compiled by the NSE, four sectors ended in the red which include Nifty Metal, Nifty Private Bank, Nifty Pharma and metal. Nifty PSU Bank index closed up 2.47% at 2,846.95 today. 

Among the constituents, Union Bank of India gained 8.75%, Canara Bank rose 7.58% and Indian Bank jumped 6.32%. In other indices, Nifty Energy index is down 2.18% and Nifty Media gained 1.73% in trade.

Sensex plummets 468 pts on rupee woes, Nifty below 11,450

Key benchmark Sensex and Nifty clocked its steep fall on Monday as a new record low in rupee raised fresh concerns over foreign fund outflows, which hit Rs 5,600 crore in the last five sessions.  

The 30-scrip Sensex tanked 467.65 points to 37,922.17 while the NSE Nifty ended the session at 11,438.10, down 151 points. In the Sensex, 8 stocks closed higher and the remaining 42 ended lower. Selling force was gripped in FMCG, consumer durables, telecom, finance, banks realty, metals, power, energy and auto sectors. 

HCL Tech up 1.54%, Axis Bank rose 0.92%, Zee went up 0.66%, Cipla higher 0.24%, and TCS up 0.20%. On the other hand, Bajaj Finance, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Bajaj Finserve and Sun Pharma were top losers. Pharma, auto, FMCG, realty and financials stocks too helped the Nifty PSU Bank index in dragging the NSE benchmark Nifty lower.  

Bank Nifty closing the session 1.02 per cent lower at 27,201.75. Besides, all the Nifty sectoral constituents ended in the red, with Nifty Pharma Index closing 2.01 per cent lower at 10,446.50. 

Shares of RITES Ltd jumped over 3.45% on NSE after the company announced that it has obtained an additional work of Rs 294.67 crore from the Ministry of Railways.

Sensex closed Higher, Nifty up 52.20, Tomorrow Stock Tips

Share benchmark indices closed higher on Friday supported by strong gains in automobiles and metal stocks after the domestic currency strengthened against US dollar. BSE Sensex closed higher by 147.01 points to 38,389.82, while the NSE Nifty50 rose 52.20 points to close at 11,589.10. 

Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, Lupin, Bharti Airtel and Mahindra and Mahindra were top gainers while Yes Bank, Adani Ports, Power Grid, Sun Pharma and SBI were major losers on the NSE.  

Auto companies have announced strong sales data in the month of August and the auto stocks are expected to gain ahead of the upcoming festival. 

The Nifty Auto index settled 2.20% higher at 11,036.65 led by a rise in the share prices of Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, Motherson Sumi and Mahindra and Mahindra. The nifty Metal index also advanced 1.86% led by MOIL, Jindal Steel, Hindalco and Tata Steel as top rising components.

Closing Updates- The Market closed moved on a positive note, with rupee's recovered moment on Thursday. The India Rupee, after it slips to a record low of 72.10/USD, supported the market end the day in green sound as well. The Nifty reclaimed 11,500 marks and ended above the threshold.

At Closed of the market- The Sensex closed higher 224.50 points or 0.59% at 38242.81, while the NSE Nifty closed up 59.90 points or 0.52% at 11536.90. The market breadth is positive as 1,582 shares advanced, against a decline of 1,105 shares, while 191 shares were unchanged.

Market closed on minimal gains, Nifty at 11570, Tomorrow Trading Tips

Domestic share benchmarks closed with minimal gains on Tuesday, as traders remained cautious ahead of US-China trade discussions that begin on Wednesday, and the release of the Federal’s August meeting minutes. 

The BSE Sensex ended up 7 points at a new high of 38,285.75 and the Nifty closed higher by 19.15 points at a record high of 11,570.90. The broader markets, midcap indices ended the day with moderate gains.   

With a negative market breadth, 1320 shares have advanced, against a fall of 1,373 shares, and 180 shares were unchanged. 

UPL, Tech Mahindra, Coal India, Lupin, and Grasim were the top gainers on NSE, while Tata Steel, BPCL, Vedanta, and HUL lost the most.  

Nifty Pharma index gains 1.54 percent with Glenmark (+4.63%), Piramal Enterprises (2.75%), Cadila Healthcare, (+2.40%), Lupin (+2.29%), Dr Reddy's (+1.78%), Sun Pharma (+1.44%).

Sensex Closes at New Record; Reliance stock rally

The Sensex closed a new record high in trade by surging 282.48 points to 36,548.41 led by a strong rally in the shares of Reliance Industries.  The NSE Nifty ended 74.90 points higher at 11,023.20. Bank Nifty also ended the weekly expiry on a positive territory by going up 210 points at 27,026. 

Today's stock rally was mainly fuelled by a strong fall in crude prices that led to some smart gains in stocks of oil marketing companies such as BPCL and HPCL.  However, some selling pressure gripped in the small and midcap index, as index witnessed a fall in trade today.  

Reliance, Wipro, L&T, HDFC and SBI, were among top Sensex gainers, while Vedanta, Infosys, Bajaj Auto, M&M and Hero MotoCorp were major losers. 

Reliance Industries Ltd today entered the 100-billion dollar market capitalization as the company shares hit a 52-week high of Rs 1,099 on NSE and BSE as well. 

Shares of HCL Technologies Ltd surged 1.67% at Rs. 1,010 in Thursday's trade ahead of the board meet to announce buyback of shares.

Sensex ends record high on earnings optimism, Tomorrow stock tips

Share benchmarks rose for a third consecutive day with the Sensex closing near record highs as investors hope earnings growth to continue in June quarter. The BSE Sensex rose 304.90 points to 36,239.62 and the NSE Nifty 50 index climbed 94.40 points to 10,947.30. Reliance Industries, HDFC and HDFC Bank contributed over 50 percent to Nifty. 

Favorable monsoon rains, increase in the MSP of Kharif crops and a ease in global trade tensions are also boosted the market. Shares of Reliance Industries rose over 3% after reports that India Gas Solutions, a JV between Reliance and BP Plc, will bid for city gas distribution license. 

Index heavyweight Reliance Industries Limited gained 3.02 percent to Rs 1,025.75, HDFC rose 1.54 percent at Rs. 1939.20 while TCS shed 0.56 percent at Rs. 1877, ahead of its June first quarter result today, 10 July 2018. HCL Technologies gained 1.86 percent at Rs. 979.10 after the company’s proposal for buyback of the equity shares.

Sensex ends at Five-Month High, led by Reliance, Infosys

Key indices logged strong gains in a steady trading session of trade, this Monday, driven by upbeat global stocks boosting investors’ sentiment. 

The BSE Sensex advanced 276.86 points at 35,934.72. The NSE Nifty 50 gained 80.25 points at 10,852.90. Shares of index heavyweight Reliance Industries Limited gained, while shares of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) dropped. 

Investors shifted attention to June quarter earnings which started today with Dish TV India Ltd and Uttam Galva Steels. 

Asian Paints, Yes Bank, Dr. Reddy’s, Vedanta, HCL Tech led the rally for Nifty in today's session, while Ultratech Cement, TCS, Titan, HDFC and HetroMotor Corp fall. 

Shares of Reliance Industries gained 1.96% to Rs 995.65 whereas TCS dropped 1.34 percent to Rs 1,887.65. Tata Motors share advanced rose 0.81 percent at Rs. 273.35 after its JLR unit reported total retail sales of 52,049 vehicles in June 2018, up 0.9 percent on Year-on-Year basis. 

Shares of Bharat Forge advanced 2.72 percent at Rs, 650.50 after Deutsche Bank maintained its Buy call on the stock with a target price at Rs 830.

Sensex Nifty end lower, Top performing stocks Tomorrow 06 July

Indian share benchmarks paused two-day winning rally with the Sensex falling 0.2 percent to 35,575 and the NSE Nifty 50 index declined 0.19 percent to 10,750 in Thursday’s trade. The BSE Mid-Cap index fell 0.71 percent, while the BSE Small-Cap index fell 0.40 percent, underperforming the Sensex. 

The market breadth, showing the overall market health, was negative with 1057 advances against 1552 declines, while a total of 147 shares were unchanged on BSE. 

Yes Bank, ITC, Bajaj Auto, Asian Paints and Coal India were among the major gainers, whereas Infosys,Vedanta,Tata Steel, Reliance, Sun Pharma were among the top losers. 

Cement Stocks gained with shares of Dalmia Bharat (+4.28%), Ultratech Cement (+3.57), India Cements (+3.05%) and Shree Cement (+2.59%). 

The other rising stocks include, 8K Miles Software (+7.15%), Gati (+7.07%), Force Motors (+3.49%), Muthoot Finance (+3.06), LIC Housing Finance (+2.59%) and Max Financial Service (+2.50) among others. 

Shares of KPIT Technologies, Hathway Cable, Equitas Holdings, Den Networks, IDBI Bank, IDFC Bank, United Breweries, United Spirits, Radico Khaitan, IDFC and Nalco fell upto 3 to 16 percent.

Closing- Sensex Nifty hikes, Tomorrow best stock trading tips 5 July

Equity benchmarks, Sensex and Nifty rose for second consecutive day led by HDFC, HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries and Maruti Suziki. 

The Union Cabinet today increased the MSP or Minimum Support Price for paddy crops by Rs 200 per quintal to fulfill its poll promise of giving farmers 50% more rate than their cost of production, which made a trigger on index rise. 

The BSE barometer closed up by 266.80 points to 35,645.40 while the broader Nifty climbed 70 points to 10,769.90. Auto and energy gained over 1 percent, on BSE sector wise, followed by healthcare, finance and bankex, whereas IT, teck, consumer durables and power declined. 

Bajaj Auto, Maruti, HDFC, HUL and Reliance Industries were among the top gainers, while NTPC, Vedanta, ONGC and Bharti Airtel were among the major losers.

Closing Update- Sensex Nifty up, Best Stock Calls Tomorrow

The Nifty Midcap index rose 0.92 percent. Reliance Industries Ltd, Infosys Ltd, TCS, Maruti Suzuki, ITC, Bajaj Fiserv, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Bajaj Finance, gained upto 2 percent, were top contributors to the Nifty's gains. 

Maruti Suzuki share price advanced 1.72 percent at Rs. 8979.50 after global brokerage firm JPMorgan has maintained overweight call with a target price at Rs 10,200 per share. 

The MidCap and SmallCap shares were in line with their larger counterparts as the BSE MidCap and Small Cap index rose 0.7% and 0.4% respectively. 

Oil marketing company’s shares advanced. Among state-run oil marketing companies, BPCL (up 0.8%) and Indian Oil Corporation (up 0.71%), edged higher, however, HPCL fell 0.17 percent. 

Among oil explorers, the rising share are ONGC (up 1.28%), Reliance Industries Ltd (up 1.10%) and Oil India Limited (up 0.87%), edged higher.

Sensex drops 159 points, Nifty closes below 10,660, Tomorrow Stock Tips

Indian share benchmarks continued falls on the back of weak global signals and falling rupee. The BSE Sensex fell 159.07 points to 35,264.41 and the Nifty 50 of NSE declined 57 points to 10,657.30. 

NTPC, Bharti Airtel, Adani Ports, Hero Motor Corp, HDFC and ONGC were leading set of losers whereas Asian paints, Infosys rallied over 2 percent. 

Index heavyweight HDFC fell 1.11% to Rs 1,886.20 while the other index heavy weight such as ITC and L&T 1.13% and 1.22% respectively. 

Shares of the TVS Motors rose 0.74 percent to Rs 556.40 after two wheeler major reported June month sales numbers. The company reported sales up 12.1 percent at 3,01,201 units as against 2,68,638 units on Year on Year basis. 

Shares of Bharti Infratel slipped after merger with Indus Towers. The stocked ended at Rs.298.55 per share down by 0.95 on the BSE, 

Shares of CG Power, JM Financial, Cadila Healthcare, Motilal Oswal, Jubilant Foodworks, and Graphite India gained upto 5.18 percent, while shares of Adani Enterprises, Jindal Steel, JSW Steel, Nalco, Indiabulls Rea Estate, and DHFL fell. 

Nifty was seen a strong selling force during the first afternoon hours. It ended the day 0.53 percent lower at 10,657-level. Nifty IT index was the best performing sectoral Index ending the day 0.59 percent higher at 14,072.30

Sensex Nifty declined, Free Stock trading tips Tomorrow 26 June

Share benchmarks ended lower ahead of the monthly derivatives expiry later this week. The BSE Sensex ended lower at 35,470.35 down 219 points and the NSE Nifty50 ended at 10,762.45, down 59.40 points. 

The market breadth was on decline with 809 advances against 1721 declines, while 143 shares unchanged. 

UltraTech Cement, Bajaj Finance, Infosys, Bharti Infratel and Lupin were among top gainers while Losers include Tata Motors, HPCL, ICICI Bank falling upto 6 percent.

Shares of PNB Housing Finance Limited advanced to a great extent by 14.21 percent to Rs 1,225 on NSE while Shares of Reliance Industries Limited closed lower by 0.74% at Rs. 1005.0.

Equity benchmarks were ended in positive territory led by Reliance Industries which spiked the most in two months hitting a fresh record high. Private sector bankers like HDFC Bank, IndusInd Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank also added to the gains. 

The BSE Sensex rose 260.59 points to 35,547.33 and the NSE Nifty 50 index rose 61.60 points to 10,772.05. 

Reliance Industries Limited topped the gainers list in the Nifty pack, followed by IndusInd Bank, Tata Steel, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Vedanta, on the other hand UPL, HPCL, IOC were top losers. Reliance stock rises 2.44% to 1,019.95. 

The stock rose 13 times in past fifteen sessions. Wheels India Limited stock surges 7.71 percent on its plan to consider bonus issue. 

Stocks in Aditya Birla Capital advanced near 2 percent after 7.22 million shares change hands in two block deals. 

Investor sentiment got elevated after the RBI yesterday announced purchase of govt securities of up to Rs 10,000 crore on June 21 to help in liquidity. 

On the political facade, Indian President Ram Nath Kovind approved the imposition of governor's rule in Jammu and Kashmir, Following the consent, governor NN Vohra will be presiding over the state.

Sensex ends lower, PowerGrid, HDFC top losers, Tomorrow stock tips

The Indian market ended on flat note after seeing high volatility in trade during the week ended day as bulls dominated control over final hours of trade, supported by major pharma companies. The BSE Sensex down 19.41 points at 35443.67, and the NSE Nifty shed 0.70 points at 10,767.70. Continued FII outflows, negative global cues with weak rupee impact weigh on investor sentiment. 

The Nifty PSU banking index rose 1.66% with Andhara Bank, Allahabad Bank, PNB and Indian bank as front-liners with gains upto over 5 percent 

Sun Pharma, Lupin, Dr Reddy’s Labs, Cipla and Gail are the top gainers on the Nifty indices, while Hindalco, PowerGrid, HDFC lose, among others. 

Shares of PSU banks surged as the meeting of State owned PSUs with FM-PSU Bank was underway in Mumbai. The Nifty PSU Bank index rose 1.7% led by Andhra Bank and Allahabad Bank. 

Meantime, the domestic currency (Rupee) declined to a fresh one-month low of 67.72 per American currency due to appreciation of the US Dollar overseas and foreign fund outflows. Further, weakness in the Indian stock market also weighed on the rupee.

Sensex jumps 275 pts, Nifty up 91 pts as RBI hikes rate, Tomorrow stock tips

Share market ended in green following the outcome of RBI's bi-monthly policy meet on Wednesday. The BSE index surged 275.67 points to close at 35,178.88, while the NSE Nifty also went up by 91.50 points to 10,684.65. 

The 6-member MPC of the RBI increased the repo-rate under the liquidity adjustment facility by 25 bps, on inflation concerns arising from rise in international oil prices. 

Consequently, the reverse repo-rate under the under the liquidity adjustment facility stands adjusted to 6.0%, and the marginal standing facility rate and the Bank Rate to 6.50 percent. 

The announcement by the RBI geared up the market, led by banking, automobile and midcaps stocks. The Nifty midcap-50 index rose 1.29 percent with all other sectoral indices ended in the green zone. 

Bharti Airtel, Titan, Tata Motors, Sun Pharma and Bajaj Finance were the top gainers on NSE, while HPCL, Tech Mahindra, Cipla, Gail India and Asian Paints lost the most. 

In effect on Central Bank’s decision to hike interest rates, sectorally banking, automobile and real estate stocks went up. Bank Nifty index rose 0.4 percent while PSU index soared 2.5 percent. Nifty Auto and realty were also higher by over a percent.

Share benchmarks decline for Second Day, Stocks calls tomorrow

Share markets of India witnessed a high volatile trading on Monday with the NSE Nifty shedding 67.70 points lower at 10,628.50. The BSE Sensex slumped 215.37 points to close at 35,011.89 led by fall in banking & realty stocks.  

Nifty SmallCap100 index was the worst performer correcting 2.77 percent, while Nifty IT and Nifty Metal Indices were the only two components that ended in the green. 

Nifty Bank index declined 1.63 percent with Yes bank, PNB and Axis Bank. On the other hand, the Nifty IT index was the top gainer, up 0.27 percent with Infosys and TCS. 

In the 50 scrip of Nifty index, 15 stocks closed the day with gains, while the rest 35 remained in the negative territory.  

Major gainers on NSE were Dr.Reddy’s (+2.40%), Infosys (+1.65%), Lupin (+1.37%), Hindalco (+1.30%) and Mahindra & Mahindra (+1.26%) while major losers include Indiabulls HF (-4.49%), HDFC Bank (-3.11%), Bharti Airtel (-2.74%) in trade today. 

Risk appetite of Investors remained restrained ahead of RBI monetary policy review meeting that began today 4 June, which will be ended on Wednesday 6 June 2018.

Closing Updates- Benchmark indices clocked strong gains with Sensex rising over 416.27 points to 35322.38, while Nifty reclaimed 30736.15 up by 121.80 points on Thursday amidst expectations of a improved GDP data due later in the day. 

Strong buying momentum picked up in the oil and gas, banking and FMCG stocks. The top gainers on the NSE were Adani Ports, HDFC Bank, Indusind Bank, Tech Mahindra and M&M with gains of up to 5.10 percent. On the other hand, Sun Pharma, Tat Motors, Dr. Reddys, Hero Moto Corp and Hindalco Industries were among lowers of up to 2.47 percent. 

HDFC Bank made a star performance by contributing 47 points to the Nifty rally. HDFC bank shares ended at Rs. 2,130 up by 4.65 percent on NSE. 

Nifty Bank, Nifty financial service and Nifty private bank indices registered gains of over 2 percent, whereas Nifty Pharma, Nifty realty and Nifty media indices declined up to 1 percent. Nifty Auto and Nifty metal indices also settled in the red.  

On NSE, 22 stocks hit 52-week highs on Thursday, while 87 stocks hit 52-week lows on Thursday.

Closing Updates: Sensex Jumped 240 Pts, Nifty High, Finding Top stocks in Trade

Sensex jumped over 240 points while the Nifty was fails to touch 10,700 in closing trade amidst healthy buying in banking, auto and capital goods on the starting week Monday. 

The BSE Sensex hit 240.61 points to close at 35,165.48 while the NSE Nifty spiked 83.50 points at 10,688.65. The rally was driven by Sun Pharma, Coal India, Larsen and Toubro, Asian Paints, State bank of India, and Maruti by rising upto 7.11 percent. The top losers were TCS, Power Grid and Infosys. 

Shares of Piramal Enterprises Ltd rose 1.89% to Rs. 2,450 after the company posted a consolidated net profit of Rs. 3,944 crore in the Q4FY18, V/s profit of Rs. 311 crore on Year-on-Year. 

Shares of RCom (Reliance Communications Ltd) ended near 7 percent on closing, after NCLAT fixed an urgent hearing against insolvency order tomorrow, 29 May 2018 The stock ended at Rs. 15.30 apiece, up by 6.99% on NSE. 

Shares of Adani Enterpirses Ltd surged by 2.88% on NSE at Rs.128.40, after the Company announced that it has sold stake in its arm Adani Chendipada Mining.  

Meantime, Gold prices fell below the Rs 32,000-level, shedding Rs 405 to Rs 31,965 per 10 gram at the bullion market, Monday, on account of a weak trend overseas. 

The Indian currency, Rupee, was trading at Rs 67.38 against the American currency in the afternoon while Oil prices were trading at USD 75.40.

Stocks on rise in Market, Tomorrow best trading stocks

Share benchmarks reported strong gains from losses in the previous session led by stellar gains in IT stocks and Bank Stocks. The BSE Sensex rose 0.93% or 318 points to 34,663 and the NSE Nifty50 index zoomed 0.8% or 83 points to 10,514. Continued buying by domestic institutions in equity market supported investor’s sentiment. 

The Nifty IT index rose 2.31%, its biggest intraday gain in about one month, and has gained 18% thus far this year. Shares of Infosys Ltd zoomed 2.96% and TCS climbed 3.31%. 

Shares of Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC) and Oil India Ltd plunged over 4 and 7% respectively, after PTI reported that the govt may levy a windfall tax on oil producers to reduce fuel prices. 

Banking Stocks such as Axis Bank, State bank of India, ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank also rose over 2 percent in trade. 

Tata Motors Shares slumped 3.41% on closing after company posted that its Net Profit Declined to 50 percent. 

NSE Gainers and  Losers: Bharti Airtel up 4.34%, TCS up 3.31%, Infosys up 2.90%, Axis bank up 2.92% and Sun Pharma up 2.53%, as top five Nifty Gainers. 

Tata Motors down 6.33%, GAIL India down 5.45%, ONGC down 4.39%, Grasim down 2.52% and Hindustan Petroleum Corp down 1.10% as top five Losers on NSE.

Markets end marginally higher, Nifty top gainers and losers

Stock Markets ended marginally higher on Tuesday after falling in the last five trading sessions on account o value buying by investors. The BSE Sensex rose 35 points or 0.1 percent to 34,651 and the NSE Nifty 50 index advanced 20 points or 0.19 percent or 10,537 on closing. 

Top gainers in Sensex were Dr Reddy's, Bajaj Auto, Tata Motors, State Bank of India, and Coal India, rising up to 6.30 percent, while TCS, Asian paints, Axis Bank were losers. 

Nifty Top Gainers in sequence namely Dr. Reddys, Bajaj Finserve, SBI, Tata Motors and Bajaj Auto. On the other hand IOC, UltraTech Cement, Bharti Infratel, Indusind bank and Asian Paints lost the most. 

Shares of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOC) ended at Rs. 159.30 down by 3.54% on NSE, after the company posted a profit of Rs.5218.10 crore for the quarter ending March 31, 2018. 

India’s largest lender State bank of India (SBI) rose 4.60 percent on NSE, in spite of the lender posting a second consecutive quarterly loss. 

Shares of Tata Motors Ltd ended 4.09 percent higher on NSE after China said it will slash the import duty on passenger cars to 15 pc.

Sensex slides 232 points, Nifty closes below 10,600, Tomorrow Stock Tips

Stock Markets in India were seen negative trading momentum throughout the day and ended well below the crucial level. Investors were concerned after BJP's BS Yeddyurappa resigned, paving the way for the JD(S)-Congress combines to outline the government. 

The BSE Sensex tanked over 232 points, down 7 percent, while the NSE Nifty closed below 10,600 amid selling in sectors such as banking, healthcare, auto and consumer durables. The BSE MidCap index and SmallCap ended the day down 1.6 percent, and 2.2 percent, respectively. The Sensex reached at a peak of 34973.95 and a bottom of 34593.82 points in trade intraday. 

The fall was led by NTPC, HUL, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Wipro, HDFC, Bajaj Auto, Tata Steel, Tata Motors, HeroMoto Corp, Yes Bank, Dr Reddy and Sun Pharma by falling upto 4.6 percent. 

NSE sectorally, the Nifty PSU Bank index advanced 2.66 percent led by a pickup in the shares of Bank of India, Punjab National Bank and Union Bank of India. However, the Nifty Realty index fell 3.29 percent, while Nifty Pharma and Nifty metal indices went down 2.78 percent and 1.68 percent respectively.

Closing Updates- Sensex plunges near 239 Points as fuel Prices Surge

The BSE Sensex ended lower by 238.76 points at 35,149.12 and the NSE Nifty down 58.50 points at 10,682.70 as concern over whether the BJP will prove majority in Karnataka knocked investor mood. Moreover, worries over rising interest rates and petrol, diesel prices continued to flatten markets. 

Shares of IndusInd Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Yes Bank, Axis Bank, Asian Paint, Reliance, NTPC, Adani Ports, HDFC, Bharti Airtel, Tata Steel and ITC led the fall by dropping upto 2.40 percent. 

In the Nifty-50 pack of NSE, shares of Bajaj Finance and Bajaj FinServe were the top gainers based on their quarterly numbers. Coal India, Sun Pharma and Bharti Infratel were also toppers in NSE. 

Shares of Reliance Communications (RCom), hit high volatility after reports that the company was eyeing at a court settlement with Ericsson. However, RCom stocks surged 56.87 percent at Rs. 16.55 on BSE, while on NSE the share rose by 65.71 percent at Rs. 17.40. 

Shares of Tata Steel ended lower by 1.76%, at Rs. 610.30, reacting to its quarterly numbers. Shares of Taj GVK Hotels & Resorts Limited gained 1.90 percent to Rs 227.65 after the Company a good set of numbers for the quarter ending March 3, 2018.

Share market ends flat ahead of Karnatak elelction outcome Tomorrow

Stock markets ended flat ahead of Karnataka election outcome, which will be known on Tuesday. Unsatisfactory macro-economic data added to the cautious temperament.The BSE Sensex settled at 35,556.71 up 20.92 points while the NSE Nifty50 index ended at 10,806, up 10 points. 

Auto stocks mostly declined. Ashok Leyland (down 4.39%), Tata Motors (down 2.21%), Mahindra & Mahindra (down 2.19%), Eicher Motors (down 1.22%), Escorts Ltd (down 0.96%), TVS Motors (down 0.72%) and Maruti Suzuki (down 0.55%) declined, while Bajaj Auto (up 0.51%) and Hero MotoCorp (up 0.99%) rose, on NSE. 

Nifty Pharma and Nifty Bank indices gained 0.2 percent each while IT, Auto, FMCG, and Metal indexes fell up to 0.9%.

Equity indices settled higher backed by gains in IT shares and select bank shares. The BSE Sensex rose 103.03 points to 35,319.35. The Nifty-50 index rose 23.90 points to 10,741.70, as per closing data. 

Gains in metals, IT and banking stocks helped the market close on a positive note. Revival in banking stocks cements, TCS and Reliance pushed up indices at the end hours of trade. 

In Sector wise, IT, metals, bank and energy companies held the market higher, while pharma, PSU banks and FMCG were a drag. The market breadth is negative with 1174 advances, against a decline of 1496 shares, while 144 shares are unchanged. 

Major gainers were Tata Motors, Asian Paints, and Titan, while Sun Pharma, NTPC, BPCL and UltraTech Cement were losing sheen. 

Among specific stocks, Tata Motors rose 3% on the back of higher global sales for Jaguar Land Rover, while Hindalco Industries ended 0.10 percent lower at Rs. 238.85

Markets Closed fall, Nifty ends below 10,700, Top Gainers and Losers

Stocks ended in the negative zone on Thursday, weighed by ITC and Infosys amid a fall in the global markets. Heavy selling momentum picked up on the capital goods, auto stocks, and consumer durables also weighed on the indices. 

Continued capital outflows by foreign funds and weaker quarterly numbers by InterGlobe Aviation (down 10.57%), and some other companies also added to the sentiments. 

The BSE Sensex traded lower by 73.28 points to 35,103.14, whreas the NSE Nifty-50 fell 38.40 points to close at 10,679.65. BSE MidCap declined 1.16% and SmallCap fell 0.84% each. 

Sixteen out of 19 sectoral indices compiled by the BSE ended lower with realty, capital goods, IT, teck and industrials losing over 1 percent. 

IT, FMCG stocks, L&T and Reliance Industries Limited pushed the market lower, but buying in HDFC, ICICI Bank and metal stocks capped losses. 

The stock of MRF Limited declined 3.39% at Rs 77,045 on BSE on Thursday after the company announced its fourth-quarter results. 

Sun Pharma, NTPC, Tata Steel, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank were top gainers, on the other hand Wipro, Kotak Bank, Asian Paints, L&T, Hindustan Unilever and Coal India were the top losers.

Indian share markets halted their 3-day up-move as gains triggered by Kotak Mahindra Bank, HDFC Bank and ITC, amidst US Federal view on interest rates, inflation and the economy. The BSE Sensex closed at 35,176.42 up by 16 points while the NSE Nifty50 index fell 21 points to 10,718.05. 

Shares of ITC, HDFC twins, Reliance Industries Limited and Kotak Mahindra Bank gained up to 4%. On the other hand, shares of Vedanta, Tata Steel, HCL Technologies, Yes Bank fall. 

Auto stocks fell with Escorts Ltd (down 1.80%) and Ashok Leyland (down 1.82%), Maruti Suzuki (-0.79%), Hero Motor Corp (-1.91%), Mahindra and Mahindra (-1.34%) fell. 

FMCG Company Marico Limited fell 4.79% on Wednesday as the company’s consolidated net profit edged up 7% year-on-year.  

Top five Sensex gainers were Kotak Mahindra Bank, ITC, Asian Paints, HDFC and HDFC Bank, while the top losers include Tata Steel Ltd, ICICI Bank, Hindustan Uni Lever, Sun Pharma and State bank of India. 

Nifty Metal index fell 3.43 percent, followed by Nifty realty 2.00 percent, Nifty PSU 2.49 percent and Nifty infrastructure 0.67 percent.

Closing: Sensex, Nifty end higher, Axis Bank rises, Maruti falls

Stocks market ended on higher note backed by strong global cues and robust buying in banking and capital goods shares. The BSE index Sensex was up 268.10 points at 34981.70, while the NSE Nifty was up 77.50 points at 10,695.30.

Shares of Axis Bank, SBI and ICICI Bank were notable gainers, whereas TCS, Maruti Suzuki, HCL Tech lost the most.

Trading sentiment was boosted on hopes for March-quarter corporate results driven by Reliance Industries Limited and Axis Bank, which have posted their fifth successive weekly gain on Friday. Shares of Axis Bank closed 8.97 percent up at Rs. 538.90.

Stocks of Reliance Industries Limited, which is expected to announce its quarterly earnings later in the day, rose a high of Rs 994.75 per share, up 1.99 percent on the BSE today.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited reported a record annual profit of Rs 77.21 billion for the year ended March 31, 2018. The Stock today closed at Rs. 8,777.95 down by 1.90 percent.

Shares of the PC Jeweller Ltd slumped 24.94 percent, at Rs.177.90 as the biggest intraday fall since it got listed, to Rs 156.50.

Commodity Gold: Gold price fell Rs 190 to Rs 32,210 per 10 gram on account of a weak overseas trend and falling demand from local jewellers. Silver also faced selling force and lost Rs.100 to Rs 40,450 per kilogram.
